Nial Djuliarso 'At Juiliard'

Nial has performed at prestigious stages such as the Weill recital hall in Carnegie Hall in New York; the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague; Kennedy Center in Washington DC; Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland; and Sarasota Jazz Festival.

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia on February 5th, 1981. Nial went on to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he received his Bachelor of Music degree in May of 2004. At Berklee, Nial was able to study with Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, Joanne Brackeen, Hal Crook, and Ed Tommasy, among others. There he also met his mentors Sonny Watson, whom Nial played with for 5 years, and Bo and Bill Winiker.

Enrolled since September 2004, Nial has just finished his first year at Juiliard. His teachers at Juiliard include Wynton Marsalis, Kenny Baron, Carl Allen, and Renne Rosnes, among others.
